Good recipes. Mandy Patinkin is a favorite of mine.

Delicious recipes and fun to read.

Love this Jewish Cookbook but I love having pictures also to show what my food should look like. The pictures are in red and white...disappointed in that part. The cookbook offers lots of recipes but not in color.

Tried and true recipes - excellent book.

I love this cookbook! I'm biased because she's my grandmother, though...but seriously, try the gazpacho mold :)

Made the chicken soup and pureed the vegetables which made a much creamer soup. It was delicious.

What a disappointment. Although this cookbook has some interesting recipes and could probably be considered a good cookbook, it is definitely not a Jewish cookbook. Several of the recipes include shrimp and crab meat and a number of the menus combine meat and dairy. The preface includes a statement that the book "is not a kosher cookbook" but the online description failed to include that warning.

There must have been an entire spread of 4-6 pages that were edited out of this book as the story just made no sense. As the grownup, I was able to fill in the gaps for my kids, but wow, honestly a poor story and would not recommend.Lets be honest, the 5 star reviews are from fans of the author who is an Instagram celeb. My wife is a fan as well, and asked me to write the review since she felt bad writing it. I am writing it as I would any other review, just the facts.The illustrations are really good though. However, once again it seems like at times they were so disconnected from the story line, it threw me off as the drawing seemed like she was back in the real world, but then 2 pages later you find out she is back home. I had to do a double take as once again I thought I missed a page!I think the story could have been really good, but I guess they needed to fit the page count into something under xzy pages and thus some pages ended up on the editing room floor.

I wanted to like this book, I really did. I have been following Eva Chen for a while, love her bubbly personality, and when she announced her book I was really intrigued - loved the premise of a little girl putting herself in other people's shoes, and learning from the great women she meets.Unfortunately I found this book lacking in several areas:- As a lover of children books, I found the rhythm of this story to be choppy even though I could see Eva's bubbly personality in there. How Juno goes from one icon to the other so quickly, how little is said/shared about them. The story felt rushed in a way. As another reviewer mentioned, maybe a few pages were cut down in the editing room?- As a mother of girls, I am not sure how I feel about the message of her adventure shoes being her favorite shoes at the beginning of the story -because of what they allow her to do, go on adventures- regardless of how fancy other girls' shoes look, to those same shoes becoming "not enough" at the end of the story, and they need to be changed and in the end looking like the shoes that other girls wore at the beginning of the story. I am guessing the message that Eva Chen wanted to go for was that Juno was using her creativity to change her shoes and make them her own, but instead this part of the story left a materialistic taste in my mouth.- The illustrations definitely have their own interesting style - and while it is not my personal favorite, what really bothered me here is the fact that the skin color of a lot of the black female icons (Williams, Copeland, Oprah) looks nearly the same as the skin color of the white female icons in the book. Just a big no no for a book that wants to celebrate diversity.Overall, I found this book quite superficial unfortunately.

I love Eva Chen and I am not surprised she wrote such a cute tale about a little girl who gets to explore different personalities through fashionable shoes. I am a fan of this book and so are my girls, ages 1 and 4. The only thing I wish was different would be clearer and larger illustrations of the shoes. It was a little weird for a story to be about the shoes, but you could hardly see them on the character. I am happy with this sweet addition to our library!

Yikes! I got carried away by the hype and excitedly purchased this for my 3.5 year old. I loooove books and love buying them for my daughter. We finished reading it with a confused sigh. The story was uneven, random and rushed. The "journey" through the badass women's lives felt superficial and was lacking suficient information and imagination to interest either of us. To add salt to injury the shoe illustrations were too small. As someone else already commented it really did feel like book pages were missing. I love Eva and I follow her on Instagram but this book is not good at all.

I admit that I bought this book because I follow Eva Chen on Instagram and like her a lot, but the story is not well fleshed out. Dialogue and description are missing from the story so you have to fill in the blanks yourself when reading it to your child. There are no descriptions of the actual shoes that Juno tries on, and there is no explanation of who each of the women are in the story, so you have to fill in what they've done and why it is significant for your child. There is a reference page in the back that states who each woman is and why she is famous, but if you don't already know, then you have to flip back and forth.The best/only good thing about this book is the illustrations, which are beautiful, colorful and creative.

This book was the perfect way to introduce some bad ass women to my 3 year old! She keeps asking about Marie Curie, Oprah, and Lady Gaga and no longer wants to be "just a princess" but a Queen like Queen Elizabeth.She also tells random people that she saw their shoes in her "magic book".As for the illustration, as much as I love how unique and colorful they were, I would have preferred the skin colors of the women to portray their race more accurately. All the women in the book pretty much have the same skin color.Other than that, the book is absolutely wonderful that we have already preordered Eva's next book " A is for Awesome".

I’m a 21 year old with no kids and I am in love with this book! I have been carrying it around with me in my backpack on campus and making my friends read it. It is so precious and the content of the book embodies the reason why I’ve been following Eva Chen for as long as I have even before Ren was born. She is a great mother, influencer, and person. As much as I could list how great of a person she is even without knowing her in real life, I’ll just keep this review focused on the book. This is a book that I highly recommend to any parents! It tells of a character who can be anybody she wants to be and this is special to me personally because my mom always told me this growing up. I was able to feel strength however as a 21 year old reading a children’s book. I can see Ren and Tao, Eva’s adorable kids, being able to read this book as they grow up and garnering strength from it.

Randall Price, Th.M. Dallas Seminary, Ph.D. University of Texas and graduate work at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the Distinguished Research Professor of Biblical and Judaic Studies in the School of Divinity at Liberty University where he teaches doctoral seminars and has taught Biblical Archaeology since 2007. The book isn’t as good as I had hoped. Zondervan products are normally the absolute best, and this tomb isn’t bad, but I found the organization and writing somewhat confusing and boring. I am used to reading, and writing, dry prose aimed at transmitting information and little else. Entertaining writing isn’t the first goal; however, such writing must avoid confusion and it should hold, as a secondary goal, to at least being interesting. For some hard to explain reasons, at least to me, it isn’t interesting. I was hoping for a complete discussion of the findings on very early civilizations and how they fit with Bibical reports on that era. The discussion was abbreviated at best. Same for the flood, and other sections of the Bible that are important for me.Is the book worth the price? Allowing for the normally high price for these products, usually worth it, I can’t say this book falls into that category.AD2

I am giving this book a 3 based on the pictures in it. For the Kindle the pictures are small, no bigger than 600 by 300 at largest. When will publishers realize that if you advertise photos for a book that big detailed photos add to the attractiveness of the book. Disappointing

Dr Price is just the best! There is so much wonderful information. I began reading it prior to going to Israel on a tour guided by Dr. Randall Price and his wife Beverly, and am still reading and reviewing all the places I have been to and want to visit. Deepened my faith.

Couple of stories into the book right now and I find it as if I watching from a large window and they are acting out all these scene I'm not horny, I'm turned on just more curiosity as to what is going on. Although I don't want get up and walk away. I feel I can't I have to stay to keep watching,I guess I'm enjoying without showing it. What a weird feeling. This is not a book to read and one sitting. I'd say graze is best for this book and then put it down when you're full and then come back to it. No, I have not finished it. And yes, I will, but when I'm ready again to fill up on another set of stories.Depending on who is doing the writing, and it is a compilation, I feel it can score in the descriptions and sometime miss terribly. I won't go into whose stories I was not fond of, because I think it is a matter of subjective taste. For me, the book started off slowly and I had to look at the title a couple of times to make sure I reading the book I thought I was reading. I have just recently come back to reading erotica after refraining for the last 20 years. I've mostly been reading business books or magazines for pleasure or marketing books for business. Even though this is compilation of books for women, it is NOT like any of Nancy Friday's books. It tries to be, in design perhaps, but because it is from varied authors, that specific rhythm is not met.The beginning of the book is slow for me and it not particularly erotic. It felt as though I was reading fiction, yes, but more of an instructional fiction. I read the introduction which makes the books seem to me more than it is, but I am only at 27% on my kindle and perhaps that is why I can't say that I absolutely loved it. Skipping around might be best, but I don't know any of the authors to pick out which one I'd prefer and just read their story or stories, so... This is a book that can acquaint you with the new array of women erotica writers though and in that respect I am happy to see there are so many AND that they are not all one sided. The stories I've read or not all about the guy or dominant having all the fun. There are definitely trade-offs and some twists as to what to expect or is expected. That I do appreciate. There is a story so far for everyone's imagination.

Lanny J. Davis is a lawyer who counsels individuals, corporations, and others on crisis management and legal issues. He served as special counsel to President Bill Clinton and was a spokesperson for the president and the White House on matters concerning campaign finance investigations and other legal issues. In 2005 President George W. Bush appointed Davis to serve on the five-member Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, created by the U.S. Congress as part of the 2005 Intelligence Reform Act. Even as a novice in the field of communications this book by Lanny Davis seems a pretext for explaining, ad nauseum, why he represents truly vile people, or their close associates, while being a really good guy. The chapter on Ivory Coast dictator Gbagbo seeks to get it through the heads of readers, by repetition if nothing else, that he's not actually involved in anything other than a seeking "peaceful solution." A word of advice for Mr. Davis. You don't need to write a book to clarify your work with dictators and manipulative companies. You could go the old fashioned route and simply not represent them, or their representatives.Disappointing, as this book provides very little in the way of crisis management strategies. It's a memoir. I'm appalled I paid for an thinly-veiled, narcissistic, and self-aggrandizing piece of self-promotion.

Not an exiting document but which howeeveals an underside aspect and related intrigues of politic modus operandi, facts that are rarely disclosed in day to day readings or listening about the ongoing activities of United States elected representatives. It is also enlightning to read about the ways of interractions by the problem solving means and methods. It is also a tale telling document disclosing the participants inter relationships within the problem solving group at hand. This is,by and large, rarely available information which should be more widely distributed so to render taxpayers and all citizens better informed as to who may be responsible for global outcomes and problem solving.

Could not get past the second chapter. Seemed like a biased, political book in which the author is trying to justify the actions of those he supports.

I like Lanny Davis and thought this would be interesting. It wasn't. It's not particularly well-written and it exposes him as as much a weasel as those whom he has counseled. Some good points, but they could have been made in 5 pages.

The stories of the cases that he showcases are long and boring. Davis often repeats whole parragraphs to make his point, as if the reader coult not remember that he's read the same thing three times in five pages.Still, there are valuable lessons and strategies, although with my own experience dealing in crisis management, his book is rather subdued and there is no adrenaline pumping or yelling by anyone. Where they all on Prozac?

'TELL THE TRUTH, TELL IT EARLY, AND TELL IT YOURSELF" is the mantra throughout this book and through the telling of the handling of actual cases of Lanny Davis provides examples of how his method works successfully of learned and used by the book's readers.

Incredible stories. I appreciate his great detail for all the background to each story as gives reason for the crisis. And the 5 rules are a good know for anyone who potentially might become famous or doesn't want to become famous for all the wrong reasons. :)

Lanny and I disagree politically and I rolled my eyes at him a couple of times while reading this book. However, his first rule of crisis management is a good one that I wish people of ALL persuasions would follow. Interesting stories, well told.
